Elma DT5500A is an insulation tester in a multimeter design. The instrument is robustly built and equipped with a large, easy-to-read illuminated display with a fast analog bar graph. In addition to insulation measurement, the instrument measures AC/DC voltage as well as resistance and continuity and continuity at 200mA.
The insulation tester has optional test voltages of 125, 250, 500 and 1000V and a lockable test function. Elma DT5500A has automatic discharge of capacitive voltage and automatically warns of dangerous voltage if an insulation test is attempted on installations under voltage. The instrument has automatic range selection, data hold and min/max measurement.
Elma DT5500A is equipped with an integrated rubber cover, meets IEC CAT III 1000V / CAT IV 600V and is delivered complete in a bag including test leads, batteries and instructions.
