Elma BM878 is a genuine TRMS multimeter with built in insulation tester. The insulation tester offers 5 different test voltages and furthermore the instruments offers 200mA continuity test to measure protective bonding.
Elma BM878 is provided with large backlit display and fast analogue bargraph. The instrument measures in true RMS, voltage, current, frequency, resistance, capacity, diode, continuity and temperature. Elma BM878 got a lot of additional features like max/min/hold, auto power off, auto/manual range and VFD filter to measure true values after frequency drives.
The instrument fulfills EN61010-1 CAT IV 600V and is delivered ready to use including remote for insulation test, test leads, batteries, type-K temperature probe and manual.

Do you know how accurate your measurements are?
It is important that you can document the accuracy of your instrument.
Let Elma Instruments perform traceable calibration - then you are safe.
To make sure that your instrument always is measures correct and accurate, we recommend that it is calibrated once a year. When you submit a calibration instrument to Elma Instruments, we undergo the following procedures:
- Review and control of the entire instrument.
- Firmware update (instrument software).
- Calibration according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Issuance of certificate.
- Instrument registration and recall management.
